Much of Whitehall's summer tourism comes from boaters who dock at the municipal marina, and using a portion of a $30,000 DNR grant to repair that dock will enhance improvements already made to the marina area, including, a new playground, picnic shelter, and public restrooms.

Additional repairs will be made to the White Lake Municipal Marina after bids came well under estimated costs.
The Whitehall city council, at its Jan. 22 meeting, unanimously approved the low bid of $6,290 from Scott Schutter LLC of Montague, and agreed that the project scope could be expanded providing costs don’t exceed $11,000.
