Ada builder finds niche in food processing industry

West Michigan has long been home to a number of very successful food processing companies. In the past several years, many of them have been expanding, and they are turning to Dan Vos Construction Co. (DVCC) to add on to their current facilities or build new plants.

DVCC started getting calls from food processors in the mid-1980s. The first projects presented a new set of challenges. Unlike traditional manufacturers that stamp components or mold plastic parts, food processors are subjected to a variety of state and federal health and safety guidelines, as well as newer anti-terrorism mandates.
