A Grand Rapids firm came out on top of a field of 14 bidders vying to build the new $1.8 million Montague fire station. Easy access to fire trucks, energy efficiency, and a promise to use local subcontractors were high on officials’ list of requirements.

The Montague Fire Board has selected a Design Build Contractor to complete the new Montague Fire Station.
Triangle Associates of Grand Rapids, which built Whitehall High School, was chosen out of 14 design-bids received, ranging in price from $1.32 million to just over $1.8 million.
