The world's first LEED certified art museum is taking care of last-minute details before its October 5 grand opening and allowed a video sneak peek of its galleries and public spaces.

Here's your first look the new Grand Rapids Art Museum.

The $75 million dollar building on Monroe Center doesn't open until October 5th, but our cameras were allowed inside today to give you a sneak peek.

The classicly modern three story building is 125,000 square feet - more than three times the size of the old museum.

It features a 40-foot high portico, an auditorium, a retail shop and a cafe. The new museum was also built to be environmentally friendly
