GRAND HAVEN — A downtown infrastructure replacement project for Washington Avenue could include a new snowmelt system, if the Grand Haven City Council follows the recommendation of a downtown development board.
The Main Street Downtown Development Authority voted 5-1 Thursday in favor of the project which, if approved by the city council, could begin this fall. Officials said the total project includes new sewers, water lines, street resurfacing, sidewalks, street furniture, lighting and snowmelt, at a cost of $4.6 million.
