The face of South Division continues to change as artists, gallery owners, and other businesses reclaim shuttered buildings. The project’s success is the result of the vision and hard work of Dwelling Place of Grand Rapids, a local nonprofit group headquartered in the bohemian Heartside District. "We're looking at the potential of a very sustainable artists' community here," says Jameson Dick, who runs a 2,000-square-foot gallery with his photographer brother, Joshua.
