Downtown Muskegon breaks ground on 2nd new building in two months

Downtown Muskegon is in the midst of a renaissance and the latest new building to break ground in the city's core makes way for offices and retail space. This is the second building in the past two months to begin construction downtown.

According to excerpts from the story:

The second groundbreaking in as many months signaled the beginning Wednesday of the first construction of a new building on the former Muskegon Mall redevelopment site in downtown Muskegon.

Sidock Group Inc. -- a Muskegon- and Novi-based engineering and architectural company -- broke ground on a new two-story office and commercial building at 379 W. Western. B&R Excavating began site work Wednesday.
