According to excerpts from the story:

The vacant lot and swing set next to Tom and Carol Bordeaux’s home at 16 Southview St. SE is the closest thing to a recreation center you will find in their neighborhood.

But, a few years from now, their property will be part of a $15 million recreation center that will feature an indoor swimming pool, ice skating rink, a gym, a climbing wall, a performing arts center and a worship center.

Nauta said Thursday his eyes were opened to the property’s potential after Brian Prevost, a Garfield Park neighborhood resident and real estate agent, convinced him they could transform the site by acquiring the Division Avenue businesses that backed up to the city land.
