The first, large scale wind turbine project in West Michigan located in Mason County is currently under construction. It's a 100-megawatt, 56-turbine project involving some of the largest wind turbines of their kind in the world coming in at 476 feet tall from base to blade tip, almost the equivalent of a 50-story building.
