Small business tech center gets new director

Dante Villarreal will oversee the regional office of the Michigan Small Business Technology Development Center serving Kent, Ottawa, and Muskegon counties now that the former director is taking a new statewide position.

“Dante has been a highly valued business consultant for the SBTDC, simultaneously demonstrating tremendous leadership capability for over four years,” MI-SBTDC State Director Carol LopuckiLopucki told GVNOW. “He is already actively engaged with numerous organizations within the community; we expect this transition to be quite seamless.”

Villarreal, a US Small Business Adminstration’s Minority Business Advocate of the Year award winner, will direct a region-wide small business assistance program.

The Michigan Small Business Technology Development Center provides counseling, market research, training, and other services free of charge to small business owners.
