Microbrewery planned for downtown Muskegon
Using Muskegon’s lumber theme as a backdrop, an experienced microbrewer and spirits distiller has plans to serve some of his own concoctions – including vodka and non-alcoholic root beer—in the city’s first microbrewery.
According to excerpts from the story:
Q: What brought you to Muskegon’s downtown as a place to set up a microbrewery business?
A: We’ve been coming to Silver Lake for many years, and we saw this area as an untapped market for beer. Since this is the “Beer Tent Capital of the World,” it seemed like a great idea. There isn’t a microbrewery in Muskegon, so I believe it will be a big hit.
Q: What products are you planning to introduce to Muskegon’s beer drinkers?
A: I’ll be releasing a whole bunch of different ales and lagers. I know that Bell’s Oberon sells well here, so I’m sure I can make something that tastes very similar to that.
