Business students at Grand Valley State University chose to remodel the Degage food pantry as part of a community-service and team-building exercise. Planning for the project began in January, and the rehab effort involved laying new carpet, painting, and installing new shelves. The GVSU sponsored class project is designed to teach a combination of teamwork, project planning, and implementation not easily learned in a classroom setting.
