Rockford projects the majority of its staff will become certified LEED professionals by the end of 2006.

Tom McGovern, Curt Lautenbach, and Scott Fergusen, all are now LEED Accredited Professionals. McGovern is the retail project executive at Rockford. Lautenbach serves as healthcare project manager. And Ferguson oversees the company’s Meijer account.

LEED is a voluntary set of design standards for developing high-performance buildings. The standards promote basic strategies for sustainable site development, water conservation, efficient energy use, and other construction practices that make economic and environmental sense.

Rockford has made green building a top priority. The company currently is involved in 15 LEED projects.
