This Friday might be a great time to bust out of work early and put your money-where-your-diversity-seeking-mouth-is by joining up with one of the most energetic and forward thinking new groups to hit the West Michigan scene, BL²END.
BL²END, a diversity-in-action organization in our community, will present its first golf outing, BL²END on the Green!, at the only city-owned 93- acre and 18-hole golf course, Indian Trails at Kalamazoo Avenue at 28th Street.
The cost for nine holes of golf is just $15 and includes a meal with a veggie burger option. (Cool!) You can even rent a golf cart for the low price of just $20, so split 2 ways…well, you get the picture. It is super, inexpensive fun in the city.

And a real plus for people like me who do not own any gear is that the city rents golf sets at Indian Trails for just $5. There is even a full concession stand including food, beer and wine, so it is kind of like the country club without the high monthly fees or the annoying kids screaming "Cannonball!" at the pool.
