Grand Rapids: Sports City USA

Over $100 Million in economic spending, and 280-plus regional and national competitions. In West Michigan, you say?

Just in time for spring and summer, Rapid Growth’s May Not Your Average Speaker Series will focus on the exploding amateur sports scene in West Michigan. And we really mean “exploding.”

In partnership with the West Michigan Sports Commission, you’ll hear from a panel of local sports enthusiasts on how West Michigan has grown to be a major sports hub in the Midwest, now playing host to over 280 regional and national competitions generating over $100 Million in economic spending. And, you’ll learn how you can be part of this move

ment.

Join us at the PEPSI STADIUM CLUB at Fifth Third Ballpark on Wednesday, May 29, where you’ll also hear about the exciting developments in the works to expand this movement even more, including the $10 Million Art Van Sports Complex under construction.

We’ll have panelists from the following organizations:

Grand Rapids Rowing Club
Grand Rapids BMX
West Michigan Archery Center
West Michigan Mountain Biking Association
West Michigan Sports Commission

This event is free and open to the public. Cash bar available. Pepsi Stadium Club is a great spot out at center field at the ballpark.

You can even bike to this event via the White Pine Trail and Riverside Park.
